Fritz the Cat/Adult Animation

Want to know what animations are worth checking out. Hewy Lewis gives you an idea.

Fritz the Cat/Adult Animation

Postby Daniel Laux » Tue Jun 22, 2010 12:42 pm

Recently, That Fellow in the Coat did an episode where he talked about Fritz the Cat & other forms of animation for adults.

Anyway, I was wondering something: How does Hewy Lewis feel about Fritz the Cat? How do you guys feel about animation for adults? Do you think it's a good thing, or do you feel otherwise?

Personally, I think animation is an art form for everyone, not just kids. My favorite adult animated movie is Watership Down.

So, feel free to let us know what you think.

Animation for adults is an art form that's on life support. It comes every couple of years and it goes again...unfortunately.

My favorite adult animated film? "Waking Life."

I sure hope it resurfaces in the future. I mean, there is some hope out there (I mean, kids movies like Up & Fantastic Mr. Fox turned out to be more entertaining for the adults, which is a great thing)!

Anyway, I sure hope Hewy does a review of an adult animated movie. So far, he's only done Bebe's Kids (which he hated), so I'm hoping he does a good one. How about, I don't know, Team America: World Police!

The main thing about animation is that it has no limits, its no different than a drawing on paper. Comedy, romance, action, adult, horror, the possibilities are endless.

I agree with you! It's a shame a lot of people don't feel this way, as many people still think animation is an art form for children (even despite strong adult animation like with South Park, Family Guy, etc.).

Would you review any adult animated film, or an animated film intented for older audiences, like Triplets of Belleville or South Park?
