Radical Requests

I thought maybe I'd help my good friend Radical Reviewer by making this section for him. Does anyone have a request for a really RADICAL/BAD movie or cartoon for him?

Even though I made this subject, I have one request for the Radical Reviewer.

Could you review The King & I? Let me explain:

Back in the early 20th century, famed composer & lyricist Rodgers & Hammerstein brought to life the musical The King & I, based upon the dramatic novel Anna & the King. The show was a big hit. In 1956, a film adaptation starring Deborah Kerr & Yul Brynner was released to great critical acclaim & even winning 5 Academy Awards. Anyway, in the 1990's, some group of people decided to make an animated adaptation of this musical. So, in 1999, they released it. Critics hated it & so did most everyone else, as this film really dumbed down the material & tried to make it kid friendly with a monkey, dragons, some running joke about losing teeth, etc., etc. etc. Not to mention, it took away the charm of the musical & is a disgrace to Rodgers & Hammerstein.

Well, that is my request. What do you think Radical Reviewer? Can you take a stab at it?

I've already suggested to this to him elsewhere, but I would really enjoy seeing a review of A Troll of Central Park. It's a definite candidate for the worst animated film ever made and I have no idea what was going through Don Bluth's head while he was making it.

The King & I and especially A Troll of Central Park will be probably reviewed somewhere in February. Right now I'm working on a 3-part review of the "An American Tail" sequels, which have nothing to do with the original, and are just a cheap excuse to use a popular franchise to make money. :x Don't know about this website, since there's still 4 reviews to go, but you can watch the new episodes on Youtube, or TGWTG in the blogs/forums, before they will be uploaded here. No offence That Fellow ;) Thanks for this topic Daniel Laux. And I'm glad you all enjoy my show :D

Don't sweat it, my RADICAL PAL!!

As for what Mr. Fellow says, I would have to agree that A Troll in Central Park is also worth a bashing, since it's one of the 4 Don Bluth Disasters (the others being Rock-a-Doodle, Thumbelina, & The Pebble & the Penguin).

Good luck with the American Tail sequels!

(& it's a good thing you're doing An American Tail, as The Land Before Time sequels would be WAY too many parts :o ).

Here's a RADICAL request:

How about a review of one of the many direct-to-video Disney sequels? I don't care which one you do, because they all stink. In fact, Nostalgia Chick said that "Disney sequels are like really bad fanfiction". I would have to agree with her on this.

Thanks for the requests, guys :) The subject of my next (After the An American Tail Sequels reviews will be posted on this site) review is going to be - The Secret Of NIMH 2. The movie is horrible and makes a perfect candidate for my show :)

My suggestions: G.I. Joe: Spy Troops and G.I. Joe: Valor vs. Venom

These were two direct-to-video CGI movies that were created as tie-ins for Hasbro's G.I. Joe vs. Cobra toy line that ran from 2002 to 2005 (later serving as prequels for the upcoming series G.I. Joe: Sigma 6), and man, were they awful!
