Still, I'm not judging till this movie comes out. Plus, ever thought that Freddy was pretending to be innocent when being burned to death?

That makes sense. However, being a fan of the Elm Street movies, I can say that remaking them is a terrible idea devised by those who have no sense of imagination, talent or originality.

Personally, I'm both excited and friggin' terrified about this Elm St. remake for the very reason of Fredster being a victim of circumstance.

Did you ever think that he was lying about not doing anything? I mean whet else would you say if you were a petofile being chased by an angry mob?

There could be that possibility, I was really thrown off by the trailer, of all things! D: I hope he was just faking it.

They've just released a new trailer to the Nightmare on Elm Street remake:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oar0-HeGqaw

I think it looks really, really good. I actually might see it when it comes out.

That said, is it just me or do those actors look way too old to be playing high school students? I know Hollywood usually hires actors who are a tad older than their character's age, but had they not shown the shot of the school, I would have assumed these were university students.

You should definately do a Brief Film review of it, since my brother loves the Nightmare on Elm Street movies.

Well, the movie is out now and I've seen a few critics' reviews. So, how did they handle the new Freddy?

Thankfully, they DIDN'T humanize him; he was still a bastard in life. However, they made a bit of an alteration (spoilers are tiny, since this forum doesn't have a spoiler code):

They made him a child rapist rather than a child murderer.
